For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
Why is your boundless compassion and grace unknown by so many in our city? Your love is more fiercely loyal than the finest father’s. Your constant compassion is more sure and merciful than the best of mothers. Put Your love on display for all to see. Send a message to people throughout our city that you long to embrace them with love as large as the sky. Use your church to do it.
"I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
Let Jesus’ prayer be true of us, O Lord. Let the unity of the Body of Christ in our city be a loud cry for the strength of Your love for all. Let our love for one another be a clarion call for our city to respond to Your love for all.
