FROM BEING BLESSED TO BECOMING A BLESSOR
"Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few." II Kings 4:3
I see three necessary steps needed to graduate from a "blessee" to a "blessor." Of course it is easier to be blessed. We hold out the pot and ask, beg, pray, sing or praise God to fill it. We even sing nice songs: "Here's my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord, come and quench this thirsting of my soul. Bread of heaven, or oil, or money" — we lift it up Lord, fill it! Actually it is a nice "corito" and I'm sure there are times when it is appropriate to sing it. However,
What if we ALL become "blessors"?
1. The prophet sais "Go". A blessor must be willing to take action, to move.
2. Borrow vessels. What do these represent? These are lives, empty lives of people that you have the opportunity to bless. How? A smile, a prayer, an offering, a word of encouragement.
3. Borrow not a few - the more vessels we are willing to bless, the longer the oil will flow!
Look for 5 people to bless today!
