“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” 2 Corinthians 9:6
Sowing and harvesting is one of the simplest principles, but the concept in our lives is often ignored. Anything in which we put our time, energy, money is an act of sowing. Harvest is the result or consequence of what we have sown.
I know you're going to be surprised to read this: You're always going to harvest even if you don't sow. In the second letter to the Corinthians, Paul writes letters with the power to transform the way of thinking of them; “he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly”.
Identify in your life what state you are in. If you are on VACATION, invest in your family, church and community. Sure you'll reap good. But if you're in STAYCATION, doing absolutely nothing, your harvest is going to be scarce.
Prayer: Lord my God, I have the opportunity to choose between VACATIONS or STAYCATION, and your word has taught me that I will reap what I sow. I want to sow in abundance. Help me to take good advantage of the time this summer and to be productive at all times for your kingdom. In the name of Jesus, AMEN.
